Sinotalks LLC collects certain information through our website, located at SINOTALKS.COM (the “Website”).  Sinotalks LLC is fully committed to protecting the privacy of users of the Website.  This page (the “Privacy Policy”) lays out our policies and procedures surrounding the collection and handling of any such information that identifies an individual user or that could be used to contact or locate him or her.

This Privacy Policy applies only to our Website and to the products and services provided through our Website.  It does not apply to any third-party site or service linked to our Website or recommended or referred by our Website, through our products or services, or by our staff.

Except as set forth in this Privacy Policy, we do not share information collected from users with third parties.

What Information Do We Collect from You?

Non-Personally Identifiable Information: This refers to information that does not by itself identify a specific individual.  We gather certain information about you based upon where you visit the Website in several ways.  This information is compiled and analyzed on both a personal and an aggregated basis.  This information may include the Uniform Resource Locator (“URL”) that you just came from, which URL you go to next, what browser you are using, and your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address.  An URL is the global address of documents and other resources on the World Wide Web.  An IP address is an identifier for a computer or device on a Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (“TCP/IP”) network, such as the World Wide Web.  Networks like the Web use the TCP/IP protocol to route information based on the IP address of the destination.  In other words, an IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you are surfing the web, allowing web servers to locate and identify your computer.  Computers require IP addresses in order for users to communicate on the Internet.

We use cookies on SINOTALKS.COM to improve ease of use.  A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your hard disk by a Web page server.  Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer.  Cookies are assigned to you and can only be read by a Web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you.

Situations Under Which We May Store or Disclose Your Personally Identifiable Information

The information collected on SINOTALKS.COM will be used to operate the Website and to provide the service(s) or carry out the request(s) you have requested or authorized.

Sinotalks LLC occasionally hires other third-party companies and/or individuals to provide limited services on our behalf, such as Web site hosting and delivery of products/services.  We will only provide those companies the information they need to deliver the service.  In the event this requires providing them with PII, such third parties are required to maintain the confidentiality of the information and are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose.

In order to most efficiently provide you with our services, credit card transactions and order fulfillment are handled by established third-party banking, processing agents, and distribution institutions.  They receive the information needed to verify and authorize your credit card or other payment information and to process and ship your order.

Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.  As a result, while we strive to protect your Personally Identifiable Information, you acknowledge that: (a) there are security and privacy limitations of the Internet which are beyond our control; (b) the security, integrity, and privacy of any and all information and data exchanged between you and us through this Website cannot be guaranteed; and (c) any such information and data may be viewed or tampered with in transit by a third party.

How We Respond to Do Not Track (DNT) Signals

California law requires us to let you know how we respond to web browser Do Not Track (DNT) signals.  Because there currently is not an industry standard or legal standard for recognizing or honoring DNT signals, we do not respond to them at this time.

Control of Personal Information

Except as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy, personally identifiable information you provide on SINOTALKS.COM will not be shared outside of Sinotalks LLC and its controlled affiliates without your permission.

Please be aware that this Privacy Policy and any choices you make on SINOTALKS.COM will not necessarily apply to personal information you may have provided to Sinotalks LLC in the context of other, separately operated, Sinotalks LLC services.

SINOTALKS.COM is a commercial website intended for use by a general audience 18 years of age or older.  Sinotalks LLC acknowledges the requirements of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and takes all reasonable steps to comply with its requirements.

Sinotalks LLC is committed to protecting the security of your personally identifiable information.  We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect such information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
